The Eureka church of Christ can trace it's roots back many years, all the way back to 1840 when the group was then known as the Panther Creek Congregation.
In 1862, the Secor church of Christ was officially established. Our congregation worshipped in Secor, IL until 1998 when we moved to our current location in Eureka.
What is the church of Christ all about?
The church of Christ is rooted in the Restoration Movement, a basic "back to the Bible" philosophy. We believe the Bible and only the Bible has authority, not demonational names or creeds or traditions. We do not view our group as a "new" church, but rather the church that Jesus established in the Bible.
